I learned saddle-stitching in a Hermès-trained workshop before opening Atelier Rive on the banks of the Saône. Everything I make — totes, satchels, small goods — starts as a full hide of vegetable-tanned leather from a Tuscan tannery and is stitched entirely by hand, two needles at a time. My pieces are built to be repaired, not replaced: I keep patterns for every commission so your bag can come home for care years later.

Third-generation Florentine leatherworker. My grandfather opened this bottega in 1958; I still use his brass hardware press. I split my time between classic briefcases, travel goods, and a small line of hand-lasted derby shoes. Vacchetta leather, saddle stitch, burnished edges — nothing that can't be resoled or restitched.

I throw stoneware in a converted printworks in Södermalm. My glazes are mixed from ash and local feldspar — matte, speckled, quietly Nordic. I make dinnerware in open series and one-off lamps, and I love commissions that let a whole table grow around one glaze.
